Three Recent Update from Google

In this post I wanted to discuss about the following update from Google,

1. Google Trends Update

2. Google Bookmarks Sharing

3. Google to buy Double Click

Let me start,

1. Google Trends Update:

As per the previous update from Google Trends, it was updated only once in a month and now they wanted to give more comfortable and relevant details to the public, so they have started to update the Google Trends DAILY. Yes, this is one of the best update from Google this month. This will definitely help most of the webmasters to know about the keywords activity. Check yourself here about the update happening in Google Trends.

2. Google Bookmarks Sharing:

Google started to enter the Social Media Network, as a result, they have introduced a new concept like Digg and Delicious, where we can post and share our bookmarks live and share with others without login. Checkout my sharing page, but for now I haven't added any stuff to it :)

3. Google to Buy Double Click:

Double Click is a website which is similar to Google AdWords. Google is in the process of buying this company and they are waiting for a legal approval from European Union Commission. Hope they will get a positive response from them and acquire this as soon as possible.

Hope there will be a huge update on GMail, wait for the update to be published on my blog.

Live Search Engine - New Design, Not Compatible in all Browsers

Take a look at the below screen-shot, taken from Opera Browser. If I click “Option” near the search box, the dropdown is not showing properly. This is not Beta version, this is live, and so I hope this issue will be solved soon by MS team.

UPDATE – Google Custom Search

I got an email from Google, click here to read the complete email about “Google Custom Search Engine”. As they told before, Google has started to inform webmaster about the recent promotion and major changes in their website network.

Good Docs with Google Presentation

The hottest news as of today is the release of Google’s Presentation. It was said sometime before that Google will get all the office products online and it is true, it is happening now. Those who use Google Docs and Spread Sheet please login to your account and check for this wonderful update now. Don’t worry even if you don’t have a login, just sign-up here.

Now you have all of your big office application online, no need to carry any CD or other material with you when you go for a presentation, also it is not required that you need to arrange for a meeting to show your presentation. Do you think how? Very simple, just create a presentation in Google docs and add members to that presentation and just show them slide-by-slide and explain what you are trying to say.

So what are the other benefits...?

Instead of my answer for this question, just take a look at the below video from Google,

All the 3 major office products are online, I can’t guess what would be Google next product? Any idea? Fingers crossed, and waiting for Google to reply...

How to Create Folders in GMail Web Interface

Everyone know that GMail is one of the best solution for processing emails, especially emails with high attachment (GMail now supports 20 MB of attachment). But most of them complaint about one many drawback in its online interface, yes, we can’t create folders in GMail. But after a small research with GMail, I managed to find a solution of this problem.

I don’t know whether you know about this, but I just wanted to share this information with everyone.

Here is the actual solution:

First create labels as per your requirement
Next, select the email(s) that you want to transfer to a folder
After selecting it, apply the label that you want
After that “archive” it

That’s all! Your emails will be now segregated into folders :) navigate to each end every label, as if you are using folders.

Hope this small piece of information will help, but the easiest way it to configure it to outlook or outlook express or any email client and segregate it to folders… ;)

Update:

Now you can create nested labels. Like folder inside folder, you can have label inside label. Now it is even simple to categories and store your emails.

To enable "Nested Labels" got to "Setting" on top-right corner of your online Gmail inbox and click on "Labs" and enable "Nested Labels" and save

Settings --> Labs --> Enable Nested Labels --> Save --> :-)

and this is how you create nested labels:

"Add slashes (/) to label names to express inheritance. For example, if you want a Home label with two child labels named Kids and Shopping, create the three following labels: Home, Home/Kids and Home/Shopping."

Web 3.0 Definitions from Google Eric

I was doing a little research on the new topic that was discussed widely in many forums and blogs. Yes it is Web 3.0.

What is Web 3.0, is that an extension of Web 2.0? Or is that something new… this new topic confused everybody and no one is having a clear idea about it. But Google’s Eric is able to give a definition for this new term. Take a look at the video of Eric from Google; he is explaining what Web 3.0 is, and how it may work in the future also how it will spread. Look it is quite interesting and may cause a new evolution in the internet world. Let us always hope for the best. Watch the video and get some good information.
