Google PPA - Pay Per Action

I believe most of you know about PPC (Pay Per Click), the Google AdWords program. With Google AdWords you can get your website on top in SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages) with less effort and investment. Google will display your website in the right-hand side of the SERPs as "Sponsored Ads" and if anyone visits your website through this ad, then you need to pay for it. The entire cycle of action is called as PPC, because you are paying for the exact number of clicks/visitors you get.

Now Google has introduced a new concept called PPA (Pay Per Action) the best way to reduce the cost compared to PPC for certain kind of markets.

What is PPA? How it will work and how it differs from PPC?

PPA is a new concept introduced by Google, where we pay for an action we define instead paying for a click or visitor.

The working of PPA is different. Simply sign-up and define any action like "complete the signup form" or "product purchase" or something similar. Once the said action is completed then you can pay for it.

The below image will help you to differentiate PPC and PPA.

For more information on this issue! And the sign-up page for Google PPA!

Update: PPA is in beta and only available for US users.

Writely - A Research with Google

Have you heard about Writely.com? Many of them are not aware of this website. I came to know about this website very recently, so I thought of wiring about it. But while gathering information for this posting, I found some interesting things that I wanted to share with you all.

What is Writely.com? Writely is the previous version of "Google Docs". It is the word processor which can be accessed through a web browser. As per the story described here and here, Google purchased Writely.com and renamed it as "Google Docs and Spread Sheet" by adding many more useful and important features. The complete history can be obtained from Wiki.

The above is the usual story and it happens everywhere. But now comes my research part,

Why 302 Redirection?

Every webmaster knows that 301 "permanent redirection" will help in search engine ranking and indexing, but why Google is not following this procedure? I was wonder after checking the status of www.writely.com; it is showing a 302 redirect to docs.google.com. Why this is so? Anyone please help!

Site:www.writely.com

After seeing the 302 redirect, I just check the site: query for www.writely.com. Now take a look at the below image, Writely.com still have 600 pages in Google's index, but the surprising thing is there is no "Cached" link for each URL in the list. How come this is possible? Anyone please answer!

More about Writely

You can get more information about Writely.com from Wikipedia and the story is very interesting, take a look at them. Some of Writely's blog postings can be found here.

Putting it in simple words, it is defined as "the type of websites that interacts with users" is categorized under Web 2.0. To make it more simple we call it as "Interactive Websites". For example, YouTube, MySpace, Del.icio.us, Digg, Squidoo, etc. These are some of the websites where we can create our own page/content/feeds.

It is predicted by some senior webmasters that these kind of websites going to help in search engine marketing. So start contributing and earn good rankings in search engines and other directories.

Some of my tips to make your website to enter the "Web 2.0" internet marketing technology,
