Google Accounts Log-in Redesign Affects Auto-fill Username / Passwords

Post Google+ launch, Google is busy redesigning most of its apps to match Google+ look and feel, and now they in the process of changing the log-in pages for most of the services and apps with the new look and feel.

Gmail New Log-in Page
The problem after redesign: saved passwords in the browser doesn't work anymore, you have to type and store it again, because with the new redesign, any log-in page is redirected to "Google Accounts" authentication URL which is different from the previous one, and most of the browsers couldn't map the username and password to the new URL.

Can Google get a quick fix to it?

Google Docs Vs Live Office

Tug-of-war!

Google Docs Vs Microsoft Office Live Workspace

Take a look at the below screenshots,

Google Docs

Microsoft Office Live Workspace

Both are alike!

Some cool features that is missing in Google Docs,

  1. You can install add-in for Office XP, 2003 and 2007 – through which you can access online documents with Microsoft Office.
  2. You can upload almost all type of files (including images, documents, excel-sheets and many)

One big feature is currently not available in Live - you can only view the uploaded files but you can’t edit them. If you want to edit, you need to use the appropriate software. Hope they will include this feature very soon.

But I have a strong opinion that Live will not allow users to edit the uploaded document as it will affect their software business ;)

Google or Microsoft? The tug-of-war continues...

Embed Slide-shows in Website, like Google Videos

From the beginning of New Year, Google started to launch new ideas. As the very first step, they have launched the embedded option for the slides we create through Google Docs (Google Presentation). From now, you can put all your details as a beautiful slide-show and present it to your website viewers. Take a look at my “Welcome 2008” slide :)

I have a question!

Is the content included inside the presentation index-able by search engines (especially by Google Bot)? Let’s wait for the Google experts' reply!

Good Docs with Google Presentation

The hottest news as of today is the release of Google’s Presentation. It was said sometime before that Google will get all the office products online and it is true, it is happening now. Those who use Google Docs and Spread Sheet please login to your account and check for this wonderful update now. Don’t worry even if you don’t have a login, just sign-up here.

Now you have all of your big office application online, no need to carry any CD or other material with you when you go for a presentation, also it is not required that you need to arrange for a meeting to show your presentation. Do you think how? Very simple, just create a presentation in Google docs and add members to that presentation and just show them slide-by-slide and explain what you are trying to say.

So what are the other benefits...?

Instead of my answer for this question, just take a look at the below video from Google,

All the 3 major office products are online, I can’t guess what would be Google next product? Any idea? Fingers crossed, and waiting for Google to reply...
