A simple process which I recommend to select keywords for SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Step1: Go to Google AdWords Keyword Tool

Step2: Select “Website Content” option, enter the website URL and get the initial list of keyword suggestion


Step3: Extract only relevant keywords from the list (don't just start using the entire keyword list). Keeping the relevant keywords ready, go to the next step.

Step4: Go to the same tool, but now select the option “Descriptive words or phrases” and get keyword ideas for each and every keyword separately


Step5: Enable the column “Search Volume Trends” from the drop-down box,


Step6: Now just tabulate the data as shown below,

Keywords	Approx Average Search Volume	Search Volume Trends (raising or falling)	Advertiser Competition or Google Search Competition
Sample Keyword	310	Raising	Medium Competition

Using the above data, extract the keywords which has a Average Advertising Competition, Raising trend of search volume with more than 100 Approx Average Search Volume.

Now use the final list of keywords and optimize the website for better result and traffic.
