All the Recent Google Updates

In this posting I am going to cover all the recent Google update that has happened in the last few days. No need to search here and their, just relax and get all the update from my blog :)

Let me start with the complete list that I am going to discuss now,

Google Trends
Google Web Toolkit
Google Gears (BETA)
Google Buys GreenBorder Technologies
Google Buys Chicago-Based FeedBurner
Google Buys Panoramio, Photo Mapping Software
Must Visit Pages of Google

Hmm… let me start describing on the above listed topics,

Google Trends Update

An edition in
CNN says that Google will daily release all the top searchers done on Google (it will exclude all the pornography keyword searches). I have already discussed about this issue on my previous post, read more here. But I didn’t mention about the exclusion of the pornography keywords.

Google Web Toolkit

A new version of Google's web toolkit was released by Google and you can download it for free from
here. I am not a well-versed programmer ;) but good programmers can download and make use of it. To know more about the Google's web toolkit, click here!

Google Gears (BETA)

We can call this simply as "Work Offline with Google". This is a browser extension and you can easily download it and install it on your system. Google says:

"Google Gears (BETA) is an open source browser extension that enables web applications to provide offline functionality using following JavaScript APIs:

Store and serve application resources locally
Store data locally in a fully-searchable relational database
Run asynchronous Javascript to improve application responsiveness"

So Google has made our offline browsing very easy, just try this little piece of software for free.
Click here to download it now.

Google Buys GreenBorder Technologies

Google now acquired a new company called "
GreenBorder", it is basically a anti-virus and anti-spyware company and I hope Google will release its own product with help of this new company. Take a look at their website and this tells that Google is planning something big, this news is not enough, then take a look at the next two news just below!

Google Buys FeedBurner

One more from Google! Google got the
FeedBurner company, which is basically an website which help in managing your feeds effectively and you can also find the number of subscription made for your feed. But I am still not able to understand, why Google got this and what they are going to do with it. Any comments?

Google Buys Panoramio, Photo Mapping Software

Again, one more! Good got another company under them "
Panoramio", this is a photo mapping website, where you can upload the photos and map it to any location in the map. Try it for yourself. May be Google will use this to enhance their "street search" in Google maps.

Finally,

Must Visit Pages of Google

I have sorted out some pages which all the Google lovers should visit it frequently. Here is the list,

Hey Matt,

Any ideas for how to actually download gears for those of us who use wireless high-speed dialup?

Why is there a 188KB downloader for a 700KB program?!

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

Since this particular software is in BETA version, the new version will be updated in their server then and there. And whenever you install this software (188 KB – which has all the default and exe to install it) it will automatically downloads the new version of the software from their server.

Hope this answered your question!
